How to activate parking monitor? 

You need a hardwire kit to connect to the fuse box of your vehicle.

I can't turn my dash cam on when received

Because our dash cam does not contain a built-in battery, it only has a super capacitor and 1mAh Lithium Metal. Due to the long transportation process, the battery may run out and cannot be turned on.

Does recording start as soon as you plug it in?

The dash cam automatically start recording when engine is started, when the engine is shut down, dash cam should be shut down as well.

If your camera is unable to work like this, we recommend using the hardwire kit for installation.

How to choose a memory card and how to use the memory card for the first time？

Class 10, U3 Speed Micro-SD Card for 4K Video is required. We recommand 128GB SD Card for Redtiger dash cam.

Do I need to delete files manually?

Deleting on dash cam may be a bit troublesome as you can only select videos one by one and delete them, so we recommend operating delete process on the computer, as computer can batch select and delete video clips conveniently.

However, you don't need to do this frequently because dash cam has a loop recording function. It can help you automatically delete old videos and record new ones.

Error/Message"Card Full"

Format Micro SD card by going into system setting > formats > OK > Select Yes > OK.

Error/Message"Mass storge"

This is because you are using a USB cable with data transfer mode to connect to the dash cam.

 

At this point, the dash cam enters data transfer mode, and you can access the video files of dash cam on the connected device, such as a computer.

 

If you want the dash cam to resume recording mode, you just need to reconnect it to the car charger or hardwire kit

Effective distance of WIFI use

Unfortunately, we currently do not have a remote WiFi connection function, so you can only connect the dash cam WiFi when closing to the dash cam within 10 feet (3.5m).

 

However, we are constantly striving to develop new cloud WiFi dash cam, which will be launched soon.

Does the rear camera work when the parking monitor mode is set?

Yes, rear camera will activate with front camera.

 

After installation of dedicated hardwire kit and connected, you can set the parking monitoring functions as you need.

The camera gets hot?

Because our dash cam does not contain a built-in battery, it is normal to get hot during operation, and it will not affect the use of the dash cam.

Does the recorded video have sound?

Yes, it can record with audio. You just need to open the menu and make sure that the audio option is turned on.

How to use electrostatic stickers?

It is first pasted on the windshield of the car, and then the bracket of the dash cam is pasted on the electrostatic sticker. Prevent the bracket from being directly attached to the glass and it is not easy to clean. Here is how to use it: 


1. Wipe the place where you want to paste (front windshield) with a semi-dry cloth. It is recommended to use a glasses cloth because there will be no floating dust. 
2. Apply a little detergent and water dilution on the glass to be attached. Then peel off the electrostatic sticker from the cellophane, transfer it to the place you want to stick it. 
3. Find a card and slowly push it from top to bottom to push out the water inside. 
4. Use a absorbent paper towel to suck it off the side so that there are no bubbles in it. In addition, the electrostatic stickers can be reused.

How to download app and use WIFI?

Scan the QR code on the dash cam to download or search and download on the Apple store or Google play.

Can't connect to WIFI after changing WIFI password.

In this case, you need to reset your password.

You only need to select "Default Settings" in the dash cam settings to reset your WiFi password back to 12345678

Can't connect to WIFI

The effective distance of WiFi is only 3-5 meters, and it cannot be connected beyond this distance.

 

If you still can't connect:

1. Forget the WiFi network, restart the dash cam and mobile phone.

2. Select "Default Settings" in the dash cam settings to reset your WiFi password back to 12345678

3.Reconnect

Does the package contain the hardwire kit?

The dedicated hardwire kit need to purchased separately.

Can I use a power bank to power the dash cam?

If you can ensure that the external power supply is 2.5 amps, you can use the power bank.

 

But the power bank cannot support the dash cam to work all the time, and it needs at least 2000MA of electricity per hour. What's more, if power bank works in high temperature for long time, it is prone to fire. Therefore, we do not recommend using a power bank to provide power to the dash cam for a long time.

GPS no signal

1. In the basement or in the alley between tall buildings, the GPS signal is weak. It is recommended that you try it in a spacious place.

 

2. If you are in a spacious place, you can observe whether the GPS logo on the machine screen is green and whether GPSinfo is displayed.

 

3.If it is not green, please contact us to replace the GPS bracket for you.

How to Play Back Videos on Your Computer?

1.Download our GPS Player

 

2.Turn off the dash cam first, remove the memory card from the dash cam, insert the memory card into a card reader and insert it into the PC.

 

3.Find the video in the folder of sd card, and open it by using Redtiger Gps Player

Can't trigger G-sensor 

The G sensor detects the movement of the car body by measuring in the three axes of X (front and back), Y (left and right), and Z (up and down). This is designed based on the force principle of a car in an accident or being hit. 

 

There is a high possibility that it will not be activated by shook the car (in one direction). You should be able to detect it by shaking the dash cam by hand. Please give it a try. If the G sensor is too sensitive, it will react even if you drive on a slightly bumpy
